Tango Holiday Tango Mecca Buenos Aires 2010 with the best milongas & maestros selected for you

We offer a tango tour to Buenos Aires! This is a very special trip for us. Why? When we (Mariano and Cosima) visit Buenos Aires, we feel very sad about the situation, our heart breaks when we see so many children in the streets, and we have bought more food for these children, then shoes. It hurts our feelings and we can't run around like chickens buying shoes and more shoes. If we meet tango tourists that are just talking about the tango and the shoes, we don't understand that they don't see any of the problems and sadness of the city. That's why we want to do this tango tour, and donate the profit for charity. From your payment we will cover the expenses in Holland and in Argentina to make this whole tour possible (and this includes the dutch taxes, so the Dutch society will benefit as well :), and we will donate the profit for charity in Buenos Aires. We hope you appreciate our idea and you will support it fully! We hope to share with you Buenos Aires the way we see it, in all its reality and in all its beauty and at the same time you help us to do something extra good for this people of this city. 

The price of the package is 250 euro (taxes included). We are still negociating about a good hotel, but we have a couple of great hotels where we will choose from, with a price of about 185 Argentine pesos per night (about 35 euro) for a double room. We are chosing hotel in a rich and safe neighbourhood. 

What will you get from us for this price:

• we choose & book a good hotel for you for 7 nights; we choose a comfortable hotel with good services in a safe neighbourhood of BA, close to the best milongas and tango schools, and interesting spots for sightseeing.
   

• we organize tango workshops for you with world famous maestros: we suggest two daily workshops for you, with the best dancers in BA; you can choose which workshops to join and which not, so you will have freedom within our program.
   

• we visit to the best milongas in Buenos Aires with you, make reservations for the milongas for the whole group, and provide explanation and guidance about transportation from hotel to milongas and back.
   

• we will choose different types of milongas to visit: milongas with dance performances, traditional and modern milongas, touristic milongas and places where no tourist has heard of :)
   

• we provide history and interesting & fun facts about the different milongas we will visit!
   

• we organize excursions to historical places... Mariano is fanatic about history of the world including the history of Buenos Aires, so he will provide us with lots of information.
   

• we organize excursions to the best tango shoe shops in town :) There Cosima is the expert, she can advise you about shoe fits, comfort, the best brands etc.
   

• we will provide you a syllabus with information about tango in buenos aires, a map, details about good transportation, etc.
   

• we will hand you a quick guide to speakings Spanish and if you like, practice your spanish during breakfast or dinner :) In this guide we will make a special section for Spanish at the dance floor!
   

• guide to the codes and rules of traditional Argentine milonga, el cabeceo, the dance circles, and much more...
   

• we will organize a traditional parilla for the whole group (with vegi alternatives)
   

• of course we well brew mate with you, and you will learn how to make it, and all the codes that comes with the social mate brewing. Mate is a very healthy herb that is traditionally drunk in Argentina, and it has a very strong social meaning.
   

• we will provide the opportunity for you to make many new friends during this trip, to feel at home in this great and wonderful city, to dance tango till you drop... and much more!
   

• you can book this trip without a dance partner, Buenos Aires is full of dance partners for you, for workshops and in the milongas, so you can book without dance partner and let the fun begin!

All this costs 250 euro. Of this amount we will pay Dutch taxes (40 euro), all our expenses to organize this trip in Holland and Buenos Aires (paper, internet, promotion, publicity, flights, stay), we will donate the profit to charity for Buenos Aires (we haven't decided yet which charity organization, we will keep you posted!)

To make sure you can choose your own program, high impact with two workshops and excursions a day, or low impact with just a few activities, all extra costs are not included:

All extra costs, hotel, food, travel expenses, tango classes, entrance to milongas, etc. Flights are exclused in the package, so you can choose your own arrival and departure dates. We expect most of our travellers would love to stay more than a week in South America; stay longer in the capital, or go explore Argentina (Iguazu, Patagonia, Salta, Jujuy) or travell even further to Brasil or Chili. Of course we are very willing to give you advice about the rest of your stay in South America!

Advice: if you wish to join, reserve the dates of November 13 - 20 in your agenda, and start looking for a good ticket to Buenos Aires. Look carefully, because the prices vary a lot. As soon as the bookings are opened, you will see it at this website. Please contact us for further questions!
